What is the definition of the Application tier
IBM Cognos 8 BI Application tier (2. tier) contains the Content Manager servlet and dispatcher servlet.
The applications tier runs requests (reports, analyses and queries for instance), that are forwarded by a gateway. The Application Layer also renders the IBM Cognos Connection and Metric Studio interfaces.
