What are the architecture tiers in IBM Cognos 8?
IBM Cognos 8 architecture is compound of three tiers:
Tier 1: Webserver - contains IBM Cognos 8 gateways
Tier 2: Applications - represented by IBM Cognos 8 server applications with Dispatcher and Content Manager
Tier 3: Data - Content store, query databases and metric stores connected via API or JDBC
